USCIS Chooses Additional Registrations to Fill In the FY2024 H-1B Cap

Like other visa categories, immigration laws set a limited number of H-1B visas that the USCIS could issue per fiscal year. Currently, the mandated cap is 65,000. Additionally, 20,000 more slots are available for foreign students graduating with post-graduate degrees from US colleges and universities.

Second Random Selection for H1-B Visa FY 2024

USCIS first conducted a random selection in March 2023 for the FY 2024 H-1B visa application online registrants. Only those registered from April 1 to June 30, 2023, qualify for the selection. After the first selection, USCIS decided that it will conduct a second round of selection to fill in the available slots.
