How to Prepare for Your First Consultation

At ALG Lawyers, we offer a free initial consultation with our immigration lawyers so that you can get to know our firm and explore your options. In order to make this meeting as helpful as possible, please note the following information:

•	Consultations may last up to thirty (30) minutes. Complex cases that require longer than thirty minutes may require a second consultation.
•	Please arrive ten minutes prior to your appointment time for the collection of your case information. Late arrival may result in a wait of one hour or a rescheduling of your appointment.
•	Parking validation is not available for free consultations. Ample street and meter parking is available, and private parking is available in areas surrounding the building.
•	If you require translation services, please let us know when scheduling your appointment.
•	If you have any other special requests, please let us know when scheduling your appointment and we will be happy to accommodate you.

Helpful items to bring:

•	All passports (copies also acceptable).
•	Copies of all prior documents filed with and received from US Citizenship and Immigration Services.
•	A copy of your permanent resident card (if any).
•	Copies of any documents filed by your parents and immediate family members.

After Your Consultation

Our attorneys will provide you with direct contact information during your consultation. If you would like to retain our firm's services, contact your attorney and simply provide:

•	Your name or the name that was provided when scheduling the consultation.
•	The approximate date of your consultation and our office location.
•	A brief description of the services you have requested.

Please note for confidentiality reasons that we do not save detailed information for non-clients, and as such, we will not be able to answer any specific follow-up questions until the firm's services have been retained and a case has been officially opened for you. The only information kept on file after your initial consultation is your appointment information and general facts relating to your case.
